Delete your account in the Tripsy app
You can delete your account yourself at any time from the Tripsy mobile app. No web form or email is required if you can still sign in.
- Open the Tripsy app on your device.
- Sign in to the account you want to remove.
- Open the Profile tab.
- Tap Privacy & Security.
- Scroll to Delete account and tap Delete my account.
- If you signed up with email and password, enter your password to confirm. Then confirm permanent deletion.
If you signed in with Google and have not added a password, you can confirm deletion without entering a password.
What data is deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove personal data tied to your account, including:
- Account and profile information (such as name, email, phone number, and role).
- Booking and trip-related records linked to your account (pickup and drop-off details, trip status, and related history).
- In-app messages and thread data associated with your bookings.
- Saved preferences, notification tokens, and other app data stored for your user ID.
- Driver profile and verification uploads if you had a driver account (subject to any legal retention noted below).
What data may be kept
Some information may be retained for a limited period when required for legal, safety, fraud prevention, tax, or regulatory purposes, or when stored in automated backups that are purged on a rolling schedule. This may include:
- Aggregated or de-identified analytics that no longer identify you.
- Security, audit, or server logs retained for operational and abuse-prevention purposes.
- Support or feedback messages you previously submitted, where we need them to resolve an open issue or meet legal obligations.
- Records we are required to keep under applicable law (for example certain driver verification or financial records, where applicable to your role and region).
When retention periods end, we delete or de-identify this data where feasible.
How long deletion takes
Account deletion is processed when you confirm in the app. Most profile and booking data is removed promptly from active systems. Copies in backups may take additional time to be fully purged according to our backup retention schedule.
Cannot access the app?
If you cannot sign in or use the steps above, you may request account deletion through the app's support channel:
- If you still have the app installed, open Profile → Help & Support and send a message requesting account deletion. Include the email address on your Tripsy account.
- If you cannot access the app, contact the organization that operates your Tripsy deployment using the support details shown in your app store listing or operator communications.
