Who we are
Tripsy provides software and services that connect passengers and authorized transport operators (including drivers and administrators). Depending on your role, you may use our passenger app, driver app, or organization-facing admin tools.
Information we collect
We collect information needed to run the service safely and reliably, including:
- Account and profile data: such as name, email address, phone number, and role (e.g. passenger, driver, or admin), when you or your organization creates an account.
- Booking and trip-related data: pickup and drop-off selections, route choices, fare-related inputs, timestamps, and status updates needed to fulfill a trip or support operations.
- Location information: when you permit it, precise or approximate location from your device to suggest places, validate proximity for pickups, improve dispatch, and show relevant in-app experiences. You can control location permissions in your device settings.
- Driver and vehicle verification: information and documents your organization requires to confirm eligibility to operate (for example license details, vehicle information, and images you upload).
- Support and feedback: messages, crash or diagnostics information (where enabled), and content you voluntarily submit through in-app feedback or support channels.
- Technical data: device type, app version, basic usage signals, and security-related logs that help us prevent abuse and improve reliability.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Create and maintain accounts, authenticate users, and enforce role-based access.
- Process bookings, coordinate trips, and display accurate status to passengers and drivers.
- Operate safety and fraud-prevention measures, including investigating suspicious activity.
- Provide customer support, respond to legal requests, and communicate important service notices.
- Improve features, reliability, and performance of the apps and backend services.
- Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests from authorities when required.
Legal bases (where applicable)
If data protection law requires a “legal basis”, we rely on performance of a contract (providing the service you requested), legitimate interests (such as securing our platform and improving the product), consent where we expressly ask for it (for example certain notifications or optional analytics), and legal obligations.
Sharing and processors
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers who help us host, secure, and operate Tripsy—for example cloud infrastructure, authentication, maps or geocoding, messaging, and error monitoring—under contracts that limit their use to providing services to us. We may also share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or acquisition subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active, as needed to provide the service, and as required for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes. Verification documents may be kept according to your operator’s policies and applicable law. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where feasible.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure; we encourage strong passwords and safeguarding device access.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. To exercise these rights, contact your transport operator or the support channel indicated in your Tripsy app. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children
Tripsy is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than where you live. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
Contact
For privacy questions, contact the organization that operates your Tripsy deployment, or use the in-app support details provided to your account.
